Greetings,
In the midst of all the accusations swirling around Trump and DOGE, we hear the Democrats saying that our present administration is acting irresponsibly cutting over employment, denying critical services, starving old folks and preventing young students an education. Some of that may be true if only temporarily.
If we were not buying condoms for most of the world, if we were not funding queer stage plays in Afghanistan, if we were not worried about anti feminism in Africa and if we were not feeding and housing 20 million illegals all over our country, if were not funding two wars not of our making, we could probably offer more services to the American people. Funding the reconstruction of infra-structure in L.A. and if we could recoup all the monies spend on a train that goes nowhere, things would be less tenable. But we are funding all of that and more.
So it is time to make some choices regarding “to Whom” services are rendered. For our students, missing a few DEI classes or learning the Gender alphabet in lieu of actually learning how to read or cipher is but a minor consideration so at this time, the losses are negligible.
The coal miners in West Virginia lost jobs, services and health insurance when they were shut down in the name of climate change. The folks that were building the Keystone Pipeline lost their incomes and services when that was unceremoniously shut down and many have slipped down the slippery slope with the cost of fuel, groceries and housing. So, yes, government decisions do cause a trickle effect upon many.
Grandstanding, pointing out emotionally driven examples of DOGE fallout is typical of the victimized left. Rather than offer alternative suggestions, they just grand stand to present a holier than thou demeanor.
If a soldier needs to speak to someone regarding his psyche, he could reach out to family, friends, or the fire department. The the V.A. suicide line is not the last gasp for that service. Truly, they would probably refer the caller to the computerized departmental list and take a voicemail anyway. We can hear it clear as a bell, ” choose your desired extension number and please leave a message. We will get back to you after the holiday and as soon as possible. Remember, your call is important to us. For your convenience, try our website @ Va. blah blah blah.gov / blah blah blah. For emergencies, please call your physician”.
There are churches on every other corner in this country that all would be immediately concerned to cajole and to counsel any such caller.
Our point here is two fold. 1. It takes a village to secure any individual in that village. 2. These emotionally charged accusations are more about condemning Trumps methods to reduce government and payroll expense than anything else… What programs have the Dems installed of late that will help a needy veteran. The VA is always months late and a dollar short because they have spent their budget buying gizmos and software that will make their jobs easier rather than being more, instantly effective. It takes five months just to get on the rolls at the V.A and then 5 more months playing telephone tag to get to talk to a VA representative that is working from home and that is a fact.
If tariffs bother any of us, simply buy American and tariffs are not applicable. If we need aluminum, we should make more of it. If our lives or our afternoon is to be ruined without a nice French wine, suck it up and buy a nice local wine or an Australian appellation. kwiturbichin!
Our question to the left that will stir up any and all opportunities executed to deny positive movement is simple.
WHAT PART OF ” WE CAN NOT AFFORD THIS #%$@ ANY LONGER”, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND”? Name a few countries of late that have sent us any form of foreign aide? Why not? We are the most indebted country in the WORLD. The last one remembered is that of the French that helped us throw off the yoke of the British 220 years ago and they were at war with the British anyway, on and off for decades.
Whining and liberal heart bitchin’ does not substitute well for bi-partisan compromise that can remedy our ailing country. I challenge anyone to name one bill that the Democrats have brought to the floor for consideration in 2025!
If you can not afford eggs, go without or buy a chicken. Learning what it takes to fill your breakfast table will enhance an under appreciated fare much more than getting on Tik Tok spending 2 hours complaining that the price of a Biden egg cost $.60 rather than Trump’s eggs 4 years ago at $.17. After two hours of bitchin, one can rest having convinced themselves that Trump hates Chickens and Elon stole the major part of the week’s production. Even then, we worry that the chickens may have been vaccinated with a serum that will kill us all in time, put into place by some wild haired scientist that is jealous of Fauci and wants to make a quick billion.
To try our hand at a coherent Kamala word salad, “It is a time for the non-sense to stop and for us all to get our hands dirty doing that which has gone undone”.
Be Aware: Our country was begun by people that sailed 3000 miles in wooden sailing ships to arrive at frozen, unwelcoming shores and those that traveled 2000 miles in covered wagons with nary a food stamp, no penicillin, social media, a hotline, a tampon, a condom, toilet paper or an egg. Surely, we can get thru a luncheon without a French Cabernet Sauvignon or a brunch with no Egg McMuffin without falling into a deep depression with feelings of deprivation. Jim Beam or a good mountain shine is a good substitute for Canadian Whiskey or Vodka. After three drinks, we won’t care anyway1
We have become a nation of whining sissies and we can rise above that ourselves or the axioms of budget and sloth will cure that for us the hard way. Beware!
